A dark, seductive tale of hunger, love, and transformation from the bestselling author of The Death of Jane Lawrence.
The only thing more terrifying than a brood's hunger . . . is its mother's.
Beatrice is a broodmother: a vampire responsible for nursing newly made fledglings through the first years of their unlife. She nests in an abandoned, isolated warren of office space beneath her patron's skyscraper, where she raises her fledglings—two difficult, hungry children of the night.
But when she takes on a third, the balance ruptures. Her hunger swells beyond control. Her body alters, betraying its purpose, transforming her into something even more monstrous.
Desperate to master herself once more, Beatrice courts a mortal OBGYN who might be able to unravel the secrets of her unnatural anatomy. But soon their connection threatens the secrecy of her vampiric coven as well as the safety and development of her dependent nurslings… and in a world governed by secrecy, even the smallest revelation could prove fatal.

FAQs
How Do You Ship Orders?
I take great care in making sure that all candles reach their forever homes in perfect condition. Each candle is wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap to protect both the labels and the glass. I also insulate the package very well with either peanuts or packing paper.
I ship everything via USPS Priority or Ground Advantage. I also use UPS depending on the weight and dimensions of your order.
If you receive your candle in less than perfect condition, be sure to contact me immediately at info@getfictional.com. I can send you a new candle or refund your purchase entirely.
How Long Does It Take to Receive My Order?
Current processing time is about 2 weeks, give or take a day or two. Some orders may ship much sooner, but as most candles are made-to-order, I appreciate your patience! If you need something rushed, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email at info@getfictional.com.
What If My Items Arrive Damaged?
Unfortunately, it happens. I do my best to package everything to the max, but mail services can be rough on packages.
If this happens to you, snap a quick shot of the damage and packaging and email me at info@getfictional.com. I will replace all damaged items!
